Premier League Betting Preview - Liverpool v Arsenal

Brendan RodgersAlthough Liverpool made no new additions on transfer deadline day Brendan Rodgers believes that he now has the squad capable of reviving Liverpool’s fortunes in the Premier League. Despite the news that key midfielder Lucas will be out for up to four months Liverpool (21/20 to win the match) are favourites today to hand Rodgers his first Premier League win of the season.

Liverpool have won just one of the last 10 league meetings between the two sides, although six of those ended in draws. The Reds (4/5 to score first) have won one of their last six league games at Anfield with their only victory coming against Chelsea. If they lose this afternoon it will be their worst start to a league season since the 1962-63 campaign, when they took one point from their first three games.

The Gunners are only the third team to begin a Premier League season with back-to-back goalless draws.  The other two sides (Chelsea and Derby) both scored in their third outing, so Arsenal (6/5 to score first) will make Premier League history if they are involved in another stalemate.

Arsene Wenger's side (16/5 to win the match) have drawn five of their last six league games. Arsenal have allowed the opposition just 10 shots at goal so far this season, fewer than any other Premier League side.
