It has been a lively morning in horse racing betting, with today’s racing coming from Pontefract, Windsor, Plumpton and Tippery.
Pontefract has seen some movement in the 15:20 Handicap, in which our 5/1 favourite Little Garcon is now back to his original price. He has won three times previously but has not had the best of results of late. His latest win was over two years ago and he finished sixth of eleven in his latest outing at Bath earlier this month. Although he could do well here the other horses should not be written off.
Breezolini has nibbled her way to 11/2 (from 7/1) in the 15:20 Pontefract Handicap, and after winning at Doncaster and Hamilton this season she is one to watch, and came second of ten on her latest outing at Ayr this month. Currently at odds of 8/1 in horse racing betting, Solar Spirit and Planetex (from 10/1) should also be considered. Solar Spirit is a six time winner, including his latest outing at Wolverhampton and is a contender here.
The 16:50 Handicap at Pontefract has also had some price movers, including our favourite The Tiger. He is the least exposed in the field and is certainly worth a look after winning his maiden race and finishing fourth at Newmarket this month. Although he began the day at 7/2 and is now at 9/2 he could do well here.
Trend Is My Friend has had a move in the right direction and is now currently at 7/1 (from 9/1). Although he came ninth of eleventh in his latest outing he has been a winner previously. Hakuna Matata is also at 7/1 for the win in horse racing betting. He has had success previously and took a somewhat notable fifth of fifteen at Redcar earlier in the month.
The 16:00 Handicap at Windsor has also seen significant movement. Aldwick Bay is now our 7/2 favourite after beginning the day at 5/1. He has won previously on an all-weather course, but finished fifth of seven in his most recent race at Bath. However he is trained by Richard Hannon so could impress here. Main Lane is also nibbling closer to the favourite spot, currently at 5/1 (from 6/1), who is also a previous winner.
Splendid Light is currently at 14/1 for the win (from 10/1) in the 16:00 Windsor Handicap, and the move in price could be down to him taking a drop in class after failing to figure in his last three races. However he will be ridden by William Buick and has won previously, and could surprise here.
