Andy MurrayAndy Murray does not expect to finish the year as world number one. Roger Federer (7/2 to win Shanghai Masters) has tipped the Scot to take over his mantle as the best player in the world following his US Open triumph in September. While the top ranking is in Murray's sights, the 25-year-old world number three believes Novak Djokovic (11/8 to win Shanghai Masters) will end 2012 on top of the rankings.

Speaking ahead of this week’s Shanghai Masters, Murray said "It will be very difficult to finish the year as number one."I think Novak is too far off and guaranteed that. I will keep working hard and focus for the rest of the year and hopefully have a chance next year."
