There's three tasty looking games in League One tonight, with top-of-the-table Sheffield United hosting play-off chasing Millwall the pick of the bunch.
Join us as we run the rule over tonight's games and suggest a couple of tips that could leave you screaming "Get Innnnnnn!"
Unbeaten in their last seven games, with five wins and two draws, The Blades are top of League One four points clear of Bolton and will look to put their disappointing draw at the weekend behind them against a strangely inconsistent Millwall, who need to refocus on their league position now the distraction of the FA Cup is but a fading memory.
The hosts are deadly in front of goal at home, netting no less than 32 times at Bramall Lane, 13 of those coming in their last five games! It's their defence that concerns manager Chris Wilder, with nine conceded during that same patch, and no clean sheets. Outscoring the opposition week in, week out seems a dangerous gambit when chasing a title. For, and make no mistake about this, Millwall can score on the road, as the three they put past Rochdale the last time they played a midweek game proves. They'll like to hit United on the counter and, despite only notcing two wins in ten on the road, this game is rather more evenly-poised than you might imagine. United have only beaten Millwall once in the last five games and are winless in the last four of those.
The visitors arrive with renewed pep oin their step, riding the crest of a wave after threatening their play-off challenge wuld be left floundering lost at sea. They've rediscovered their scoring boots, are unbeaten in the last three and have notched ten goals in the process. against a Wimbledon side who seem safe but have relatively little else to play for this season, they could well fill their boots. Wimbledon have been rather lacklustre in front of goal and seem to 'freeze' a little when facing an atacking threat, which Rochdale will be. To add to that uncertainty, only three teams in the whole of League One have scored more goals than Rochdale have so far this season...
A long season for the Yellows seems to be taking its toll and Michael Appelton will be hopeful his charges can get back to winning ways, especially after they dropped points in their 0-0 draw last time out. Oxford, whilst not being the most prolific scores in the league have found the net in all but four of their home games this season and the Kassam Krowd (artistic licence, okay?!) are generally quite vociferous in willing their team on. Unfortunately, the Boys from up the Hill do have a leak and their defence is not an insurmountable obstacle for opposing teams to overcome. Indeed, they've conceded 12 in their last 5 games and Bury will fancy their chances on the road tonight, despite the fact that they have just recored consecutive 0-0 draws themselves. Sitting in 17th, Lee Clark's men are not yet safe and he'll be impressing on the team the need to pick up vital points, tonight's game being a prime example.
With both teams eager for the win, this one could be interesting: Bury like to fight off the back foot and will relish the space afforded by an attacking Oxford. Although they have kept a clean sheet in their last four games, Bury are known for their defensive prowess and this could turn into an open, thrilling game.
Selecting a cheeky treble on BBTS/Draw (OxfordvBury) Rochdale to win 2-0 and BTTS Draw (United/Millwall) with a £10 stake returns £2,700*.
