TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 3-0 AFC BOURNEMOUTH

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1/4  DRAW 11/2  AFC BOURNEMOUTH 10/1

Fresh from their thumping win against Watford last weekend, Tottenham appear to no longer be their old Spursy self in bottling it just when everyone else starts believing in them. In fact, their cranking up the pressure on Chelsea as the two title chasers enter the home straight of the season.

For Bournemouth, they’re just about safe to make sure of a third season in the Premier League and if Spurs are to win the title then a home clash against the Cherries should be viewed as a home banker. This should be convincing for the north Londoners, who have scored goals aplenty, even with Vincent Janssen up front.

What We Sayin’?

Heung-Min Son to score first in a 3-0 home victory would be our shout and at 25/1 it could well be a profitable pick!

CRYSTAL PALACE 2-1 LEICESTER CITY

CRYSTAL PALACE 4/5  DRAW 11/4  LEICESTER CITY 7/2

Fresh off the plane from their European clash against Atletico Madrid, with the tie still in the balance and the second leg just a few days away, we expect the Foxes to rotate their side again – just like they did away at Everton last weekend.

Palace pounced on Arsenal’s lack of bottle, mentality and spinelessness on Monday night to secure an easy victory and pull themselves slightly further clear of that dreaded relegation trapdoor – what a cliché that is, by the way, almost as if that trapdoor takes you by surprise, which it doesn’t, it takes you down to the murky depths if you’re really crap for nine months.

What We Sayin’?

Well we’ll get back to the football and edge for a Palace victory, even though the Eagles have lost the last three games against Leicester. However, Sam Allardyce has won 50% of the games against Leicester in his managerial career and Big Sam will come up against someone who was part of his coaching team during his short spell as England boss. Anyway, BTTS and Over 2.5 goals at 7/5 looks a useful tip to us.

EVERTON 3-1 BURNLEY

EVERTON 4/9  DRAW 7/2  BURNLEY 13/2

Still yet to win on the road in the Premier League, Burnley’s luckless run is likely to be extended on Saturday when they make the short trip to tackle Everton at Goodison Park. The Clarets haven’t won at Goodison in their last two trips to Everton’s home and have lost three of the last four meetings.

The Toffees don’t usually come unstuck on their own patch, losing only once at Goodison in the Premier League, with only Tottenham and Chelsea picking up more points at home than the Merseysiders. Romelu Lukaku has 16 goals in his last 16 games for club and country in all competitions and has scored at Goodison in every game in 2017.

What We Sayin’?

That statistic is exactly why we’re behind the aforementioned Lukaku to score first in a 3-1 Everton win at 28/1.

STOKE CITY 1-2 HULL CITY

STOKE CITY EVS  DRAW 12/5  HULL CITY 3/1

Hull may have only won one of the last seven meetings with Stoke, but they’ll see this as a great opportunity to boost both that recent record and to drag themselves further clear of danger. Whilst Stoke have hardly been world beaters recently, but Hull are horrid on the road, with only Burnley having a worse record on their travels this season.

Stoke’s issue is they struggle to score, and that’s been a reason why they’ve lost their last four games. But with Xherdan Shaqiri back, perhaps the Potters will have a bit more craft to their play. It may well come down to what team wants it more, and if that proves to be the case then you’d have to edge for Marco Silva’s Tigers.

What We Sayin’?

Oumar Niasse has played well and been in amongst the goals since joining the Tigers on loan in January and we’re pumping for the striker to score first at 15/2.

SUNDERLAND 0-2 WEST HAM UNITED

SUNDERLAND 11/5  DRAW 12/5  WEST HAM UNITED 13/10

Sunderland are doomed and haven’t scored in their last seven games. The service to Jermain Defoe is non-existent and you’d have to fancy West Ham to surely keep a clean sheet, win, and ensure Premier League survival after a pretty disappointing campaign.

The hosts will be without Seb Larsson after the Swede’s sending off last weekend against Manchester United, but let’s be honest, it’s not as if that’ll matter too much. The Hammers won at home against Swansea last time out and you have to feel that should Slaven Bilic earn another win, then they’ll be in no trouble at all.

What We Sayin’?

Double your money and a bit more with a BTNTS pick at 6/5. Sunderland’s barren run could be continuing, folks!

WATFORD 1-1 SWANSEA CITY

WATFORD 6/4  DRAW 23/10  SWANSEA CITY 2/1

It’s pretty much D-Day for Swansea, who have gone off the boil just as relegation contenders Crystal Palace and Hull City have turned up the heat. The Swans look to be lacking any confidence and last week’s defeat on the road at West Ham potentially put another nail in their coffin.

Watford fans must want the season to end now – not because it’s been a particularly boring season, it’s just been a bit, well, bland for the Hornets. A potential relegation battle was no longer on the cards a few weeks ago and it’s got to the point for them – similarly with Southampton.

What We Sayin’?

Watford have only won once in the last six meetings with Swansea, but we’re behind the Hornets to get their first draw in their last five games, which wouldn’t really do anything for the hosts or Paul Clement’s Swans – 1-1 is 19/4.

SOUTHAMPTON 1-3 MANCHESTER CITY

SOUTHAMPTON 100/30  DRAW 3/1  MANCHESTER CITY 4/5

On paper, this should be a comfortable afternoon’s work for Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City side, as they look to cement themselves in the top four, and with nothing to play for where Southampton are concerned, this should be easy pickings. But this is City, a team that just can’t defend, despite spending around £150m on central defenders (Otamendi, Stones, Mangala) in recent seasons.

Southampton have been hot and cold for most of the campaign, but it was always going to be difficult to replicate or beat their finish under Ronald Koeman last season. The fact that less than five players will be poached by bigger clubs this summer suggests the season’s been a bit of a damp squib, but a decent end to the campaign should secure another top half finish.

What We Sayin’?

We’re behind BTTS but Man City to get the job done, which can be backed at a pretty reasonable 23/10!
