This week for our #ContinentalBreakfast, we take in stops to Germany to be part of the Yellow Wall, the delights of Monaco, then off to Italy to see two of the top four clash, before heading across to southern Spain to see if Sevilla can keep the pressure on Barcelona and Real Madrid! StanJames' Premier League Predictor Competition | Week 24

The football just keeps on coming, not that we're complaining, we LOVE it!

Another transfer window done and dusted and another few moves completed after that same window supposedly and sensationally ‘slammed’ shut. It was also another day full of hot air, Jim White getting very excited for no particular reason, yellow ties and an absolute bonkers rumour of Scunthorpe United turning down a £4m bid from a Chinese side for Dutch frontman Kevin van Veen.

Football makes a return to our screens this evening, with three matches taking place in three cities. Dimitri Payet-less West Ham will be hoping for revenge against Manchester City after their FA Cup defeat to Pep's troops, and the same will be said for Hull, who were denied a place in the EFL Cup final by those pesky swines Manchester United just last week.

It's a feast for matchday 23, with SEVEN Premier League games.

Cup fever makes a welcome return to our screens this weekend, and, as usual, there is bound to be an upset or two in this round! Well actually, we've picked five where a Cupset could well be on the cards! Is it a tricky away tie? A non-league giant-killing? One of the big sides out of form? Maybe all three? Well, look no further to gain some inspiration from us ahead of your accumulator this weekend!

The latest dollop of your #ContinentalBreakfast has been brought to the table (via the internet, of course), and this week sees us take in tript to Germany, France and Spain, profiling four of the most inrgiuing clashes in Europe this weekend.

Wednesday and then Thursday night takes us to the north of England – Liverpool and then Hull, to be more precise – but not because we like these cities of culture. The Cup football is back as four teams battle it out in a bid to come out the other side at Wembley Stadium towards the end of February. Everyone reckons it’ll be a Liverpool vs.

The Championship. The drama, the tears, the ups and the downs. It's quite a division, where everyone fights it out in a bid to roll in the money reach the promised land - the Premier League.

The first Championship game of the weekend is probably going to be a belter. It's Chris Hughton vs. Carlos Carvalhal, promotion contender vs. promotion contenderWho can steal the advantage, soar and fly high come 10pm tonight?...

You know when managers moan about how the Premier League desperately needs a Winter break? Yeah, well that great Winter break is exactly why we’ve had a couple of weeks without or usual dose of the #ContinentalBreakfast. The good news is that it’s back on the menu for this weekend, where we’ve got an Expresso, churros and croissants for you. Get it?....

It's a feast for matchday 22, with SEVEN Premier League games.

Football | Half Time Transfer Window Review

We’re halfway there (as Bon Jovi would say) and there’s not long to go until the transfer window ‘slams shut’. Why do these windows never just close normally? They always ‘slam’, don’t they?

Football | FA CUP | Replays - Previews and Tips

After tipping Blackpool to win in extra-time at 25/1, we're feeling bullish about tonight's games. With Liverpool and Southampton representing the Premier League and giants Newcastle and Birmingham going to head to head the action is sure to be breathtaking.

The FA Cup | Five GREATEST Cup goals - EVER

The recent spate of FA Cup games has created some friction in the office; plates have flown and stilted silences descended as we've discussed the best ever FA Cup goals.

The FA Cup Replays | Match Previews and Betting tips

There's a shedload of FA Cup action coming up this week. Premier league sides Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Liverpool and Southampton all feature, but will they be victims of a giant-killing? You know the old saying, "the bigger they are..."

It's a feast for matchday 21, with EIGHT Premier League games.

The African Cup Of Nations returns this year with another bunch of big-hitting countries searching for glory when the tournament kicks off in Gabon on January 14th. A number of huge - and familiar - names will be in attendance, including the hosts' Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Senegal's Sadio Mane, Algeria's Riyad Mahrez, and - of course - Hull City's Ahmed El Mohamady.

We had the magic of the FA Cup at the weekend, and more cup action makes a return to our TV screens on firstly Tuesday and then Wednesday evenings at the first-leg  semi-finals of the EFL Cup take place in the north-west and then south-west this midweek.

The FA Cup is back in business for the Premier League and Championship sides entering the competition for the first time this season. The third round is here, and as we see every year, there are always upsets – or cupsets as they seem to be called nowadays.
