Football | Champions League Preview | Tuesday's Hotpicks

We had the hustle and bustle of the Premier League at the weekend, now it's time for the champagne football as the Champions League returns to our screens.

Following the international break, your weekly dose of Continental Breakfast is back, people, and this week we have some big clashes to preview once again - a derby in Spain and one in France, whilst the likes of former giants Valencia and AC Milan are two of the other four sides we take a look at this weekend. Anyway, we'll stop waffling and let you get your teeth into it...

There’s another bundle of games in the EFL this week and instead of spending a good 20 minutes looking at all the fixtures and deciding who’ll be who, we feel the best bet is to carry on reading this blog as we’ve studied the form, the head to head records, everything and have

Wahey, it's international break time. Okay, we'll pipe down. Let's be honest, we'd only look forward to this time of the year if England were enjoyable to watch. However, they aren't and we all prefer the domestic fixtures. Just a few games in and bam, here comes the international fixtures.

The football is really in full flow now and already there is talk about sackings, teams being cut adrift and the odd surprise or two in the Championship. One surprise has been Aston Villa’s start to the campaign, and Steve Bruce’s side are one of four teams we profile in the two clashes in the second tier on Friday night…

Another week into the season means another huge dollop of Continental Breakfast being dumped on your plate whilst you tune into Soccer AM. Whilst that programme may be past it's sell by date, our feature certainly isn't and with four belting games from a quartet of divisions across Europe, this one's one to read about!

The hosts come into this second leg clash at Anfield with a slender 2-1 lead after Mark Uth’s late strike really makes this clash a lot more interesting than it perhaps would have been had the game in Germany ended in a comfortable 0-2 Liverpool victory.

We've been rewarded for another hard-working week with another football feast this Sunday. The first of the two games sees two promoted clubs battle it out for what could turn out to be a vital point or three for their survival hopes.

Back for another week of EFL action, whilst the table still isn't a true reflection of how things will pan out, clubs at the bottom won't want to start getting cut adrift just two or three games in.

Back by popular demand, we return with another dollop of Continental Breakfast plastered all over your plate, and this weekend we take in trips to Spain, Italy, France and Germany to sample the delights the four countries have to offer…
