As we all predicted and expected, England won’t be playing in the Final of the U21s Euros on Friday evening due to typically being knocked out at the semi-final stage on penalties against the Germans.

With Chile already waiting for the victors in the Final of the Confederations Cup, big hitters Germany take on Mexico in Russia, with the Mexicans the surprise package if they do reach the Final.

When you think of a word to describe this clash, the term ‘juicy’ could well be used. Both of these were two of the favourites to win the tournament and they now face off in a bid to be in the Final. It’s Cristiano Ronaldo vs. Alexis Sanchez, for goodness sake!

Things are hotting up in the U21s Euros over in Poland, and, with the Under-20s winning the World Cup a couple of weeks ago, the pressure is on England’s Young Lions to come up with the goods in Europe. However, to reach the Final, they must defeat the old enemy. It’s also worth noting that there’s no guarantees of winning the Final either, as Spain and Italy both battle it out to be in the last two.

Both of these sides will have high hopes of winning the tournament, but if Italy are to stand any chance, they’ll need to beat the Germans and hope for a favour elsewhere. The pressure is on for a squad which contains AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma and the highly rated trio of Daniele Rugani, Domenico Berardi and Federico Bernadeschi.

Football | Germany v Chile | Confederations Cup | Preview and Tips

Two of the pre-tournament favourites clash in this mouth-watering class as Germany and Chile go head-to-head, a place at the head of the table on offer. With neither team really shining in their opening games, both will be eager to put down a marker for the rest of the competition.

Football | Slovakia U21s v Sweden U21s

Seperated by just a point, Slovakia and Sweden will both be looking to cement their place in the knockout stages here. With so much at stake, this could be a rip-roaring match unencumbered by fear.

Strap yourself in, our pulsating preview is just the taster...

Whilst England gave themselves a great chance of progressing to the knockout round with a very decent comeback win against Slovakia in game two on Monday evening, this is England, they are against the hosts, and they never make it easy for themselves…

One of the real Under-21s games this Euros that caught our eye was this one, as Portugal and Spain battle it out in Group B in one of the oldest footballing rivalries, known as the Iberian War.

Who says Germans don’t take tournament football seriously? Known for their ruthlessness and efficiency, Joachim Lowe has opted for a more experimental squad for the Confederations Cup, but despite that, there will be a number of high profile names playing for them against Australia on Monday afternoon.

The Confederations Cup is just round the corner once again as eight sides do battle in Russia, in a sort of warm up for next year’s World Cup to be hosted in the same country, as we all know. And these teams aren’t the likes of San Marino and Kazakhstan. The tournament will definitely be worth watching.

Just when we thought the football season was definitely over for another month or two, up pops the Under-21s Euros and straight from the off, there’s English interest as the FA and England supporters hope the U21s replicate the success of the U20s, who won the U20s World Cup at the weekend.

Fresh from a last gasp draw in Scotland at the weekend, England will now take the Eurostar as they make a trip to France to tackle Didier Deschamps’ strong side at the Stade de France. Surely England must improve against a team who, let’s face it, should be stronger than the Scots.

Football | Champions League Final Match Preview & Betting Tips

Two domestic Champions meet in Cardiff on Saturday night as the curtain comes down on the Champions League in the Welsh capital. We’ve seen thrills and spills, Monaco’s great run, which will ultimately cost them to lose 49 of their great young players, and who can forget that bonkers 8-4 game between Dortmund and Legia Warsaw in the group stage back in November last year? Anyway, it comes down to this!

Football | Huddersfield v Reading | Preview and Tips

The richest game in football. Win, and it's ascension to the promised land. Lose, and it's... well, we won't talk about that.

With both Carlisle United and Luton Town taken care of respectively, Exeter City and Blackpool make the long trips from Devon and Lancashire in a bid to be in League One by Saturday night.

The FA Cup Final is firmly on the horizon now and despite many believing the magic is lost and some Premier League clubs disrespect the competition, one big hitter and Arsenal will take to the turf for the showcase finale, which, we’re delighted to say, is now at the end of the campaign rather than a few games prior to the end of the season.
