StanJames.com has seen lively movement in horse racing betting this morning from across today's races at Newcastle, Newbury and Doncaster.
The 13:30 North Sea Logisitics Handicap Chase at Newcastle has had a fair amount of price changes so far, our current second favourite Lackamon has moved back to its original price of 7/2. The course and distance winner will be ridden by Ryan Mania and hasn’t won a race since March of this year but it fares well at this track coming third here in February and winning at Newcastle in November last year. Current favourite is Wymott trading at 15/8 having moved from 9/4. The eight-year-old is a distance winner and last won a race in February 2011 at Bangor. Third favourite comes in the shape of Benny Be Good who’s yet to win at Newcastle. It’s moved from an original price of 9/2 and now sits at 6/1 in horse racing betting.
Doncaster has also seen movement particularly in the Class 2 Handicap at 15:15. With 20 runners this race could go any way, Khubala is our current joint favourite though having moved from 9/2 to 4/1. This three-year-old ridden by Frankie Dettori is a course and distance winner and won in August, with a second place finish in the Pwc Handicap at Ascot earlier this month. Other favourite in this race is Prodigality which has moved consistently this morning from an original price of 7/2 now also trading at 4/1. The four-year-old has won over distance here and is coming off the back of a win at Goodwood earlier in October.
There has also been some movement in the races from Newbury today. The 15:25 Sir Gerald Whent Memorial Nursery race has several good horse and jockey’s involved in the action today. Current fave is Dominate a two-year-old ridden by Richard Hughes. The Bay Colt has been ridden by Hughes a couple of times and won at Sandown on soft ground with him on board in July, being its last win. It came 5th at this track in September and looks the one to watch in this race currently trading at 11/4 (original price 3/1). Second favourite is Shahdaroba which came second at York two weeks ago and is currently priced at 7/2 though hasn’t moved in price yet. Our current third favourite is Kieren Fallon ridden King Dragon currently trading at 5/2 moving from an 8/1 original price.
The 16:00 Fillies Handicap is another interesting race at Newbury today and has seen significant movement. Current joint favourite here is Dulkashe ridden by Kieren Fallon and the distance winner is open to further progress since coming 1st at Nottingham in May and is trading at 5/1 . Joint 1st favourite and having only had one price movement so far is Princess Caetani who has moved from 11/2 to 5/1 in horse racing betting. This three-year-old is also a distance winner and has consistent good finishes this year its best coming second at Goodwood earlier this month.
